Rewire your thoughts, responses and patterns

You may be navigating a transition, a relationship, or a new phase of life. Perhaps something from the past is showing up in the present. Or something has shifted, and it is asking something difficult of you. Internally, it can feel harder than it should. Or you are ready to feel safe within yourself.
Things may not feel clear or settled. You might understand what’s happening, but you’re still feeling it, reacting to it, or stuck in it. That gap between knowing and being able to shift it is where therapy needs to go deeper.
If you have been searching for individual therapy near you or a psychologist near you, in Rosebank and surrounds, this is where meaningful, lasting work begins.
Why Individual Therapy Goes Deeper
Traditional talk therapy can build awareness. But real, lasting change happens when we work at the level where patterns were formed, your nervous system, emotional responses, and internal conditioning.
This is often why people seek individual therapy in Johannesburg after trying other approaches. The work we do together focuses not just on understanding, but on changing how you experience your life, day to day.
Who I Work With
My clients are usually over 30, high-functioning, know what they want to work with, are willing to share it, and are ready for meaningful change. They may be navigating stress, anxiety, trauma, loss (loved ones, pregnancy, dreams, pets, jobs, etc.), relationship challenges, life transitions, or are wanting to work on their nervous systems capacity and experience in the world. They are open to cutting edge modalities, such as BWRT, Brainspotting, Visualisation, Tapping and connecting with heart and soul.
Your Therapy Journey
Your journey starts in session one, where we spend a time getting to know each other, and if there's time clarify admin.
A few sessions later, we move into deeper therapeutic work, if you are ready, if not, we continue getting to know each other.
My clients tend to fall into one of three groups:
1. Focused support: Those with something specific to work through — a trauma, a life event, a transition, a pattern in a response, a relationship, a loss or something at work. Focused, purposeful, with a clear destination in mind. Included in this is therapy for growth as things come up in life - ongoing therapy and support as life unfolds, to give you different inner and outer responses, to be more impactful, effective and fulfilled.
2. Deeper transformation: Those ready for deeper, longer-term work — not just resolving something, but genuinely transforming how they move through life. Healing old layers, growing into who they want to be, increasing the nervous systems capacity, and building a life that feels like theirs.
3. Experienced and ready for more: Those who are not new to experiencing hurt, and are and always have been interested in personal growth and development work. They have learnt to be self-reliant, are often "spiritual or woo", and they want to experience something new: in their relationships - with themselves, others , and in life itself. They want to learn how to lean into inter-dependence, and joy and unlock something new.
The goal isn't just to cope; it's to move through your life with clarity, confidence, and ease, and to create the kind of impact, connection, joy, and fulfilment you actually want.
At the start of each session we touch base on the past week, and see if there is anything in it that you need to process, or if we should proceed based on the goals.
My clients are vhigh-functioning individuals who are serious about, and committed to their transformation.
They may be navigating stress, anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, work issues and are truly ready for deeper, meaningful transformation, in how they show up, react, feel and navigate it all.
It is natural that as this is new, unfamiliar and scary to your nervous system, it may resist, and the work is designed to help it acclimatise to the changes you are consciously wanting.
What We Work With
Some clients come with something specific. Others come seeking something deeper.

Therapy provides a structured, supportive space for healing and growth, while also working at a deeper level to shift automatic responses.

What Others Say:
Justine
Working with Farhana has been the most effective work I have done in over 10 YEARS. I feel I have healed some profound personal issues and deep blocks. The techniques she uses are really geared toward personal change which then catapults you forward, both your personal and business life. I would not be where I am today without the work we have done together in a year. I am deeply grateful for the space she provides and what we created together. I feel grounded and free in my life, and clear about my business. We worked on family issues; relationship break-up and being ready; money; masculine/feminine and business expansion.
Client - working through burnout
Thank you again for the work we have done this year. I deeply feel that it has made a difference, and I am so grateful for the changes that I am starting to experience in my life. I've needed this for a long time and so grateful for the ways you have supported me and shifted things for me. My nervous system and I feel so much safer.
