Rewire your thoughts, responses and patterns

You may be navigating a transition, a relationship, or a new phase of life. Perhaps something from the past is showing up in the present. Or something has shifted, and it is asking something difficult of you. Internally, it can feel harder than it should.
Things may not feel clear or settled. You might understand what’s happening, but you’re still feeling it, reacting to it, or stuck in it. That gap between knowing and being able to shift it is where therapy needs to go deeper.
If you have been searching for individual therapy near you or a psychologist near you, this is where meaningful, lasting work begins.
Why Individual Therapy Goes Deeper
Traditional talk therapy can build awareness. But real, lasting change happens when we work at the level where patterns were formed, your nervous system, emotional responses, and internal conditioning.
This is often why people seek individual therapy in Johannesburg after trying other approaches. The work we do together focuses not just on understanding, but on changing how you experience your life, day to day.
Who I Work With
My clients are usually over 34, high-functioning and navigating stress, anxiety, trauma, loss (loved ones, pregnancy, dreams, pets, jobs, etc.), relationship challenges, or life transitions who are ready for bigger, meaningful change.
Your Therapy Journey
Your journey starts in session 1, where we spend a little time getting to know each other, and we begin the work.
From session 2 onwards, we move into deeper therapeutic work, if you are ready.
My clients tend to fall into one of three camps:
1. Focused support: Those with something specific to work through — a trauma, a life event, a transition, a pattern in a response, a relationship, a loss or something at work. Focused, purposeful, with a clear destination in mind.
2. Deeper transformation: Those ready for deeper, longer-term work — not just resolving something, but genuinely transforming how they move through life. Healing old layers, growing into who they want to be, and building a life that feels like theirs.
3. Experienced but ready for more: Those who are not new to pain and hurt, and who have learnt to be self-reliant, are "spiritual or woo", may call themselves empaths, for example, and they want to experience something new in their relationships - with themselves, perhaps their kids, and in life itself. They want to learn how to lean into inter-dependence, and joy and free themselves from the hurt and pain and unlock something new. They need the tools and support to do this, and are not afraid to go where they need to or do the long-term work.
The goal isn't just to cope; it's to move through your life with clarity, confidence, and ease, and to create the kind of impact, connection, joy, and fulfilment you actually want.

What Others Say:
Justine
Working with Farhana has been the most effective work I have done in over 10 YEARS. I feel I have healed some profound personal issues and deep blocks. The techniques she uses are really geared toward personal change which then catapults you forward, both your personal and business life. I would not be where I am today without the work we have done together in a year. I am deeply grateful for the space she provides and what we created together. I feel grounded and free in my life, and clear about my business. We worked on family issues; relationship break-up and being ready; money; masculine/feminine and business expansion.
Client - working through burnout
Thank you again for the work we have done this year. I deeply feel that it has made a difference, and I am so grateful for the changes that I am starting to experience in my life. I've needed this for a long time and so grateful for the ways you have supported me and shifted things for me.
